Cliff w/e

Cliff College was really good, especially Tom Stuckey.
But to be honest, the celebrations were no more powerful than last Sun night!
The theme was 'Chosen' and there was much emphasis on the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts.
Tom again emphasised that we are on the edge of Pentecost. He also said 2 things in his later Q&A session which stuck in my mind:
1. "Go home and at your Church Councils and General Church Meetings ask 'What is the Spirit saying to the Church' "(see Rev 1-3).
2. "Some of you have been there struggling all night and caught nothing, and feel utterly exhausted and frustrated. But the night is coming to an end. A New Day is dawning. The one who's been calling to you from the beach you now realise is the Master. Time to hear and do what He says...let down your net 'on the other side of the boat' and you will bring in a harvest....." (or words to that effect)
Good stuff.

a little kindness

My friend Ian is a vegetarian.
Yesterday, camping at Cliff College, he was cooking breakfast in the boot of his car, and without me asking he made me a bacon sandwich.
